The first table lamp in our catalogue — a piece of Lincoln's Inn for a calm desk.
The banker's lamp is one of those silhouettes that simply cannot be improved upon — a wide, bowed metal shade pitched forward over an antique-brass column, softened by a single brass pull-cord chain, mounted on a stepped brass plinth. Lincoln is our take on it: faithful in proportion, refined in finish, designed for the rooms where light is meant to be quiet, considered, and useful in equal measure.
Named for Lincoln's Inn — the Holborn quarter of barristers' chambers, leather-bound legal libraries and Tudor archways where the silhouette was first associated with serious work after dark. Lincoln is the lamp for a Georgian writing desk, a console table beside a wing-back armchair, a bedside in a panelled bedroom, or a study where a book is more often open than not.
Three colourways — quietly considered, jewelled, or properly heritage
- White — matt-white bowed metal shade with a polished brass interior. Calm, neutral, library-modern. The version for desks, hallway consoles, and bedrooms where the lamp should be felt rather than seen.
- Blue — cobalt-blue glass shade in the heritage banker's-lamp tradition. Jewelled, statement, deep saturated colour against any green, oxblood, walnut or panelled wall. The version for studies, snug bars, and rooms that want a little drama after sundown.
- Green — the emerald-green glass shade that is the banker's lamp. The most recognisable silhouette in lighting — Lincoln's Inn, Temple Chambers, every legal-thriller study and every map-room library. Glowing, jewelled, unimprovable. For studies, libraries, and any desk that takes itself a little seriously.

Where it earns its place
Where it works best
Lincoln is plug-and-play in the truest sense — set it on a Georgian writing desk, a marble-topped console, a bedside table, a leather-topped library table, or beside a wing-back chair, plug it in, and it works. The pull-cord chain means you switch it on and off without leaving your reading. The forward-pitched shade pools light directly onto the surface in front of it — perfect for reading, writing, working, or simply lighting a small evening tableau.
Pair Lincoln on a console with a wall-mounted Whitechapel amber-glass gooseneck above for layered evening light, or beneath one of Marlow's scalloped brass sconces for a properly considered hallway moment.
